Naturbrush medium bamboo toothbrush
Adult Bamboo toothbrush with medium nylon 6 bristles
Guaranteed BPA-free, 95% biodegradable and vegan.
Allows you to reduce your plastic consumption when compared with using regular toothbrushes.
This brush contains plastic. We have decided to sell it because we believe that it is the best vegan alternative to 100% plastic toothbrushes.
Feature of the Naturbrush medium bamboo toothbrush:
Head designed specifically to make it easy to access those difficult to clean areas of our mouths.
Bristles made from medium strength nylon-6 out of castor oil and bamboo fibre filaments. These bristles are soft and flexible to protect your gums.
This brush’s bristles do NOT contain Bisphenol A (BPA). BPA is common additive, known to be an endocrine disruptor and very dangerous to our health. It is present in many plastic toothbrushes. The nylon-6 used for these brushes does not contain petroleum derivatives as they are made using castor oil.
Handle is made from bamboo, a rounded shape, light and ergonomic. The bamboo from NaturBrush is 100% MOSO - Phyllostachys edulis - (also known as winter bamboo, a type of bamboo that is not consumed by Giant Pandas), FSC certified and comes from the Ningbo forests. It is organic as it grows and thrives without the need for fertilizers, pesticides or any other type of chemicals.
Bamboo is antibacterial and antifungal due to the presence of “Bamboo-kun”, an antibacterial agent that helps the plant resist pest and fungal infestations.
Coloured coating: natural bamboo, green, red and blue. The dyes used are from ecoprint (organic).
Packaging: Internal paper lining in a cardboard box.
Care of your Naturbrush medium bamboo toothbrush:
If the toothbrush starts to get lighter in colour or turns white, particularly at the end, don’t worry, it’s normal. Bamboo is a natural material and it has not been varnished.
Like with any other toothbrush, we recommend you change your bamboo toothbrush every 3 months.
Store in a dry place. Avoid standing it in a glass as this is where water and dampness tends to accumulate.
Cleaning the bristles is the same as with a plastic toothbrush. If there is some toothpaste build-up, rinse and rub the bristles clean under warm water.
Recycling and composting:
In order to recycle and compost your toothbrush, remove the bristles with tweezers or pliers. They are joined to the brush head with a metal staple. Just pull hard to release the staple. Then you can throw the bamboo handle directly in the compost, as it is 100% biodegradable and will breakdown over the next 6 months. The nylon-6 bristles and the metal staples are 100% recyclable. Check with your local council to see whether you can throw them directly into the recycling containers or if you should take them to a specific recycling centre.
